Why then do some balk at exhibiting the spiritual gifts?
Are they not gifts that flow out of the Spirit and into the lives of His believers?
Are the "Gifts of the Spirit" not a sign that God really resides within His temple?

For those who just have to know, by believer I mean someone who actually believes in Christ and has followed the salvational steps to spiritual adoption... as exhibited in the preaching of Peter to those gathered in Jerusalem in Acts chapter 2:38, & 39.

I meant all the Gifts, not "tongues" alone.

For some reason, some churches have decided that this is not relative to us today. The Bible says inthe end times there will be a form of salvation or religion and they will not reconize the power they have. But if you notice, there had been an awaken of the church. More churches are starting to opertate and acknowledge the gifts and power of the Spirit. Remember in Mark 16, when Jesus says all who belive shall do these things...... Why is it some donot believe in laying hands on th sick? When the whole body of Christ starts using it's gifts and power, then we will see a mighty move of God, we will see more people saved, we will see more captives set free and the power of satan broken down. It is our job to keep praying for Christ to do 'a new thing' in His body. To open up the eyes and hearts of believers. Be blessed.

Depends whether you want to exhibit your gifts for your own vanity or for the glory of God.

If your talking about getting naked for Jesus, you've been listening to some dodgy preacher that wants to get in your pants.

Personally I think you are more interested in people worshipping you than in worshipping God.

You are also confusing the spirit world with the world of flesh. You can't see "spiritual gifts".

If you want to get naked for Jesus you could do it at a strip club....and get paid for it! I'm not judging the girls who do that but it's not spiritual and the audiences at strip clubs aren't there for the spirituality of it.

If you're talking about those fraudulent $1000 suit fake smile big business false Messiahs like Benny Hinn for example. They don't perform miracles and never have.

If you have a spiritual gift for healing you can go around the world healing. You don't have to get up on a stage for your own glory. The world will never be short of sick people to be healed.

"Are the "Gifts of the Spirit" not a sign that God really resides within His temple?"

Blessed is he who has not seen and yet believes.

Does your faith have such a low price that you need signs of the physiological type to maintain it?

Many churches barely acknowledge the Holy Spirit, and many think the gifts were for the disciples only. Some of those churches call it the "movement" and tell their followers not to get involved in the spiritual "movement". When there are healings, they say the devil is somehow involved.

Church dogma keeps Christians from receiving all that God promised to them, and hinders the flow of the Holy Spirit.

There are several spiritual Gifts, Speaking in tongues is the least of all of them.

Have you read in depth, Cor 14, toungues? Do you know how many tongues it talks about? Have you read this in Greek side by side with English? I think this could answer your question and relieve all doubt.

Have a great day.

Gifts of the spirit are a sign of an immature mind and an over-active imagination.

Gifts of the spirit are for the edification of God not to be a spectacle of men.

Yes, they are gifts from God, but not everyone can appreciate the same gifts can they.. some people like clothes for their b'day, and other people prefer a good meal.

ur first statement was wrong.. just because u believe in Christ then ur body is not a temple of the holy Ghost. u have to give ur life to God in order for that.. that be like me saying, "i believe in the Devil therfore i am a satinist".. although i do kno that there is in fact a devil i am not at all a satinist....
