What is the 'this' is it a ppt slideshow, a picture, a packet of papers, what?

Cos the you could say something like, "We will now view a powerpoint slideshow that highlights the project proposal for the planned event" or "The project proposal for the planned event is now ready to be viewed. Please open your copy to page 5."

I am enclosing my proposals for the forthcoming event.

If it's in a letter, you will be sending the proposals with it, not standing there and telling them, so you will be enclosing them in the same envelope.
