Quran- Do you agree?

Question

Recently I ordered the Quran (translated into English) and I read it. I was curious....Then I was shocked!
I think The Quran is a guideline for terrorists. Would you agree?

I've ordered the Quran online from an american wesite for $10

I showed the book to a muslim person I know to ask him about the translation. He SAID this was really good translation, and by the way the Quran has been translated by arab professor who lives in Canada.

yes! i had a Muslim friend who is now christian she was teaching Qumran! before.. she said that in Qumran even Islams prophet killed many people to made them Muslims!!! or their khalifa!ALI! and in the book it says that if you die 4 god you are SHAHID?!! so what you can understand? it teaches that if you kill your enemy even if you fasten a bomb to yourself and kill your self you are a good person you are SHAHID! i wanna know where in bible said that you have to kill bad people or even your self 4 god!!! Jesus always says love your neighbor with all your heart and forgive your enemy and pray 4 them!! like the one he did! on the cross!

I love the Quran, it is amazing, and it does have the knowledge of everything for example: if one counts the number of times "Ard" (which means Earth) was mentioned and the times "Bahr" (which means sea or ocean) was mentioned and divides them, one will get the ratio of around 30 to around 70, which is what scientists only in recent years were able to prove.Also, it is said in the Quran that God made Earth into a ball-like object, and so Muslims were able to tell that the Earth was not flat from over 1400 years ago (ring any bells?)
About the terrorist issue, all the fighting that is ordered in the Quran (which is hardly mentioned in the first place) is for defensive reasons, and it is known to the Muslims that when they fight the enemy and the enemy surrenders, they should not kill what is left of them, and instead set them free

I really wouldn't have cared to answer this question if Muslims weren't ordered to convey the real image of their religion so that non-Muslim people will be able to know about it (Muslims can't keep this amazing religion to themselves because that would be a selfish act and selfishness is considered sinning). So here, I told you a few of the Quran miracles, and my job is done. It is up to try reading the Quran again and rethink your veiw and if you still don't find it great, then only time (i.e. the life after death) will prove to you that the Quran was right.

Quran is not a guideline for terrorist , you have to read Quran carefully , and I will give you reasons why Quran is not a guidelines for terrorist .

First of all , Quran order Muslims to respect all religion and respect people feelings in this subject
Second , Quran order Muslims if there is a ware to DEAl the war prisoners without punish them and feed them and they have to deal with them as human beings .
Third, Quran order Muslims in the war not to kill any women , young children , or aged people . They have to fight and kill only soldiers who threat Muslims people .
Finlay , killing any human without a very acceptable reason such as threatening Islam and Muslims countries is Forbidden in Islam.

there are many other reasons you can find in Quran , just read and you will surprised how Quran help people to live with each other .

there are several translations of the Curran on the net for free. It is a good idea to get at least three of them because it is like anything else difficult to translate to mean the same in a different language. I have read it and find that it is just like the bible and other religious writings. You can make of it what ever you want. If you want it to justify being a terrorist then it is easy to do. If you want to use it for good then you can. It is being used for good and evil just as other writings are. Personally I cannot understand how anyone could ever believe in the Curran or the Bible.

No,u didn't read Quran well,read it carefully and u will find it invites 2 peace and brotherhood between all of us,not 2 be aggressive, u people think Muslims r terrorists,cuz they r defending themselves against Israel which had taken Arabian land and killed Muslims and Christians.America came 2 Iraq saying they r coming cuz there r nuclear weapons,but after that the whole world admitted that there r not any nuclear weapons,but America is still in Iraq till now,what is America doing in Iraq?!Killing Muslims and saying they r terrorists.

Well the Quran (Kor-An) Doesn't make the distinction on where violence ends.

Any Erudite who's read the The Holy Bible knows that in the New Testament, the people get, from the Creator himself, orders not to be violent and "love everyone like thy neighbor."

I Can see where the confusion might be, But generally it depends on what Moslem sect focuses on which part of the Quran.

You should of read in the Qur'an that God blesses some people by this book and curses some people by this book. Those with a pure heart are blessed by the book. Those with a dark heart are cursed by the book. Until you pray to God and ask to see the wisdom and light in it, you will only see things in the book to increase God's curse upon you.

Also, the rule about the book is your body must be pure. No Muslim touches the Qur'an until they perform a cleansing ritual: wash hands, mouth, nostrils, face, arms, wipe the head to the neck, ears and feet up to ankles (in that order). Or take a shower first.

If you take the time to do this, you are proving to God you are sincere and want to understand. Then you can sit down and open the Book of Allah.

If you do not purify your body, your eyes and heart will remain blind.

well police girl i think you have some serious issues with the problem of islam
firstly you ordered it and i dont know why but the quran has never been translated that often and stayed in Arabic form due to the wrong translations and alterations which police girl i think happened to you and you got the wrong translation which has been probably alterd to make islam look bad as everyone in the world is now trying to do and youve just fell in the trap.

I certainly do not agree.Especially Since you've ordered it from an american site.A lot of Americans hate Muslims.In fact they hate them so much that they've started to make their own fake book and call it the Quran.So the people who want to be a Muslim and they bought the fake one.Ah poor them they won't find a difference between the Bible and that fake translated Quran.You should buy it or borrow it from a Muslim person.Trust me you will be welcomed and you will be happy there cause they are so nice and so intelligent.I mean smart.

Absolutely not!! Are u sure u ordered the Quran? Or was it in some other language that u did'nt know of. Didn't mean to disrespect your thoughts, but eager to know at least one sentence in the translation that u went thru which made u think the way you mentioned???

Islam, a religion of mercy, does not permit terrorism. In the Quran, God has said:God does not forbid you from showing kindness and dealing justly with those who have not fought you about religion and have not driven you out of your homes. God loves just dealers. (Quran, 60:8)

verses relating to fighting or "killing" refer to those who aggressed against Muslims and mostly [especially in Chapters 8&9 of the Quran] refer to idolatrous Arabs who committed "war crimes" against Muslims.
