The name Cassandra has no translation in Arabic, but it is known in Greek mythology as Alexandra. There is an Egyptian city on the Mediterranean named after Alexander the Great. The name of the city is Alexandria. The name Cassandra is pronounced in Arabic the same it is pronounced in English as long as it has no Arabic meaning.

Have a wonderful day Cassandra.

I am a Chinese-Cantonese fluent in both Mandarin and Cantonese. Personally, I wouldn't recommend a transliteration of your Western name into Chinese because the obvious pronunciation problems aside, it looks odd and usually means nothing.

What I recommend for non-Chinese friends of mine who would like a Chinese name is that they think of virtues, ideals etc that they associate with and from there, I will help choose an appropriate Chinese name.

However, if you still wish a transliteration of Cassandra, here is one:

格三德

In Mandarin, pronounced as Ge San De. I know the spelling looks odd but that is the closest I could find that sounded like 'Cassandra'.

Hope this helps. Feel free to email me personally if you'd like to choose a Chinese name like I described.
