You should have been using your own mind and done some good for humanity rather than sticking to some lousy belief system and promote it unthinkingly to get a reward!

I would know it wasn't God. He wouldn't allow people to see him. He would appear in some other form not as a person. No person can look into the face of the Lord before we are brought before him in heaven.

God has already helped me know, quite early in my life, that all organised religions are man-made 'jokes' - aimed solely at fleecing the dumb 'believers', who are desperately in search of some source of solace from their lives' miseries...
...Hence, there is no need for Him to come, visiting me 'in person' - when He is already everywhere [including my own heart] !

then i have nothing to feel sorry about, because i want to be a good person always, and the ways of the world does not appeal to me.

actually any religion is exactly that.
being good and helping the other as much as you can
we are not religious at all, that's why we are so animali-like.
