Hardest Decision i have to make.?

Hey everyone. I play the harp and cello. I have playted the cello for about 4 and one half years and the harp about 3. I dearly love both but I have had to come to a hard decision. This upcoming next year of school is going to be hard for me and I can only stick with one intsrtument. I do have my own cello but I am currently renting a harp due to they are so expensive! Its hard because I love the harp because its so unique and people want to hear it much more than they hear the cello but my father doesnt support me in it at all. He loves when I play the cello, and I love the cello, but everyone else loves the harp better which would make me money playing for weddings and all. I really dont know what I should do. Should I just stick with cello? Its a little more common and alot more people play it but Im not sure if I want to even become a musician. The Cello is much more practicial transportation wise and money wise.What should I do? Should I just stick with cello? or harp?

I have only recently began to study music, in my old age. I will never have enough time to become an accomplished musician.
It is such a wonderful world that has opened to me.
Why am I telling you this?

Not I or anyone else can make your decisions. You have to decide that which is your first love. You will not have your father forever. A time will come when you will have to live with his decision or the one you make now, for yourself

You will not lose the knowledge that you have of either instrument. You must follow your dreams. As your father, your mother, and those before them have.

My music teacher plays Keyboard, Guitar, Drums, Strings, Flute and others. It didn't come all at one time, but I'm sure when he was young, decisions had to be made.

It's too bad that you have to choose at all, I would only say this. Choosing one or the other for now, will not mean the end of the other or will it mean that you cannot go on, even to others. Evidently you are young. The music world is big enough for all of you and all that you can offer.
Knowledge and talent can never be taken away.

Cello. It's a more versatile and satisfying instrument. EVERYONE is looking for good cellist's', when was the last time you heard someone ask "where can i find a harp player?"?

Ultimately you should choose the instrument which you most enjoy playing though, seeing as that's all that matters...

Depends if you want fame and fortune or to play music simply because you love to. You have to invest more to sustain playing the harp but the skill is rare and you said you could make more money at at. It would also be easier to be world renowned with the exotic instrument. Or would you rather just play music on the instrument that is easier to transport and afford because you can't live without it.

Both Instruments are beautiful and hard to play.
I would choose cello, why?, More opportunities to join orchestras and live from your music income.

But Finally you need to chose what make you feel happy.

my first reaction was "cello" but you said you have one...so i would continue with the harp because you can keep up with your cello playing on your own. have your cake and eat it too...
