Usually I get ground beef in either 1 lb. frozen or a little over 1 lb. fresh packages.

Divide that into 4-6 pieces (making it about 1/4 pound or a little less is OK), and roll into a ball, then flatten to get a patty. For medium to rare, use a thicker patty, for more well done, flatten it more.

Heat a pan for a minute or two on medium flame, then add a small bit of oil (I use olive oil, but regular cooking oil is OK too). Cook 4 minutes a side. For an extra juicy burger, put an ice chip on the burger when it's cooking the first side.

Are you serious?! You want the recipe too? Well, you generally mix up all your ingredients first, then grab a handful of burger and flatten it in your hands until it looks like a patty. Then fry it on medium heat for a few minutes, checking to make sure it doesn't burn. Flip it, and cook it some more. You might have to flip it a couple more times, so it's properly cooked. If the grease running out of it doesn't have blood in it, it's done. If you want to make sure all your burgers are the same size, get a food scale and put meat on it until it reaches the amount you want, then keep making them all the same weight. You might want to check the net for burger recipes, then modify them to suit your tastes. Good enough? <*)))><

Wash your hands. Then make a ball in the palm of your one hand. Take the other hand and in a circular motion slap it against the meat and turn. Keep doing this until you have a semi-flat round piece of meat. Salt the meat and place in a skillet on medium heat. Put a lid over it and check it every couple of minutes. Flip it once in a while and cook until the juices run clear or you have reached an internal temperature of 165 degrees maintained for 15 seconds. Serve as you like it on bread with your favorite condiments or on a plate with brown gravy over the top.
