I hate pickles so I would play fetch with my dog with it.

make a potatoe salad with boiled potatoes, pickles, canned peas and carrots, hard boiled eggs, sour cream or a light mayonnaise, a bit of the pickles' juice, salt and pepper and - if you like - hot dog sausages (all cut to size of course)
or you can dip it in self made garlic- or thyme-mayonnaise...
