crap it doesnt add up..
= 86 + x = 143
x= 57
57/3= 19
so
B =38 + 19 = 57
M =32 + 19= 51
D = 16 + 19= 35
57+51+35= 14 3

Unless you provide more information about Devin, Mate, and Bree's ages, I'm going to say that there is no actual answer to this "riddle." I may be wrong, but I'm sticking with my thought of there being no answer.
