they just dont taste like actual potatos to me maybe i,m the only one that feels this way.

i think they use whatever is left from the rest of the ingredients.

Yes, McDonald's french fries are made from actual potatoes. You nutjobs need to stop the conspiracy theories about McDonald's... just because you don't like the food, you don't need to spread untrue rumors about it.

Its 50% potato and 50% kamote, becuase its cheaper than potato but it taste and looks potato when cooked.

Heck NO, the French Fries are really polyunsaturated carbohydrates mixed with low fat, salt free, reconstituted soft drink cups (recycling program) with calculatedly added so the artificial flavoring isn't so obvious.
Add lots of salt and they will taste fine.

I don't know but I have a sneaking suspicion that the 'apples' in their apple pies are actually potatos. Just a theory...

I actually work in a french fry manufacturing plant- yes we use potatoes doughhead!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
