In mainstream christianity, the holy spirit is one of the three devine persons of the holy trinity which make up the single substance of god, the others being god the father and god the son.The holy spirit is different from jesus, means it does not have physical manifestation and that it frequently dwells in and amongst god's people as spiritual guide or a comforter.

The Holy Spirit is one part of God's being - just like you have an emotional part, and a physical part, you also have a spiritual part that makes up who you are. God's three parts are God the Father, God the Son, known as Jesus Christ, and God the Holy Spirit - who is given to our Spirit when we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.

Each and every day. It took some time to understand what was going on. The Holy Spirit was guiding me but I was not following along very well. But once you accept him fully and completely and surrender yourself, you then become a whole new person and listen and understand whats going on. Yea, I feel his power each and every day and it's wonderful!

Well, Arun, I've never come across anyone who asked that sort of quesion who really wanted a thoughtful answer. They have all been stirrers! If you believe your religion is the best and only true one. Why do you feel the need to bait other people? Could it be feelings of personal inadequacy?

The Holy Spirit is GOD.
Jesus is the WORD of GOD, and the SON of GOD.
GOD is GOD the Father.
This forms the TRINITY. (Need a triangle here.)
The sign of the cross is:
Father - between the eyes (your brain, understanding)
Son - your heart. (love)
Holy Spirit are your arms attached at your shoulders - arms are used to DO things that GOD has planned for you. (compassion for others, acts)
The Holy Spirit is basicly everywhere. GOD Holy spirit is the LIGHT everyone heads to when you die.

After Jesus died on the cross and was resurrected he appear to the Apostles in a room they were gathered in. He told them that he would have to leave the shortly (to go to heaven) but he promised that he would send someone to them as a source of help and strength, that is the Holy Spirit. You can read about this in the book of Acts. Chapter One deals with this information that I have given you. All Christians who have been born again through profession of sin, belief that Christ died on the cross to forgive them of their sins, invite Jesus into their hearts as their Lord and savior, have the power of the Holy Spirit with them.
Hope this helps. God Bless you.

the holy spirit is sort of like an entity that can only be seen by a select few, sort of like a ghost, but it has direct mental contact with god.
