My 1,6 years old child has developed irritable bowel syndrome after a digestive infection. any chance to cure?

He was treated with antibiotics at 6 months of life. Since then, he became sensitive to many foods, I can hardly feed him right. But the worse thing is that he wakes up several times a night and sometimes can't fall back to sleep. I know the reason is abdominal cramp and gases. Is there any posible treatment for this, besides very strict diet?

Try making a tea of comfrey leaves and having him drink a tea cup full three times a day. Should clear it up. To make the tea, boil water, remove from heat, add a handful of comfrey leaves (not comfrey root) and then let it steep for half an hour. You can strain it then refrigerate it.
