the wooded area may be where he got it from. those are all the signs of parvo. the poop stinks very badly. it is very expensive to treat. you need to have it put down. as for your yard and house, you need to bleach the heck out of it. and DO NOT get no more puppies for a long time b/c they will just get it and die as well. any dog over the age of 1 year is fine. but the dog is in pain right now. i work with animal all day and ive seen parvo left and right. he will get to where he don't eat or drink anything at all and will just get skinny and die. hope this helps ya.

Yeah, dogs will eat and drink with Parvo. Especially from your hand.
Has he been vaccinated at all? He should be completely vaccinated by now. If he has had puppy shots, then, no, it's not parvo.
Could be any number of other things too. Including, other bacteria or virus. Poisoning, or eating something that is now stuck in his bowels.
You are correct in forcing him to drink all the water he will let you get down him. Vomiting puppies dehydrate quickly. Pedialyte water for human babies is a good idea too. Parvo or no Parvo, keep giving him fluids until you can get to a vet to know for sure what he has.

If there is any chance it is Parvo yo got 2 get the dog to the vet asap and disinfect everything it touches. i.e. don't let it walk 2 the car wrap it up in a blanket with bin bags or lino in the car and carry the dog. and once at the vet leave the dog in the car and tell the vet or reception so the vet can get kitted up and carry the dog so not have any chance of infecting any other animal. then the vet will try 2 treat it once the vet thinks it is. and once home use the strongest disinfectant on everything the dog has touched since just before it started showing symptoms. but most important is to keep an eye on any other dog the sick dog has come in contact with and notify all the dog owners in the area as it is a highly infectious and fatal.

Your dog is VERY sick! Parvo in "itself" will NOT cause a dog to stop drinking. Compare it to a human who is very sick.. You become SO weak and your body does not have the energy to drink or eat any longer. He may or not have Parvo. But, something is VERY wrong.
IS YOUR DOG UP TO DATE ON HIS SHOTS??? INCLUDING THE PARVO Vaccinations??
It is possible that he has parvo. There are other diseases that have the symptoms you are describing.
He NEEDS HELP NOW!
IF there is NO Vet on call anywhere in your area (most Vets have an emergency number to call.. or you can try another Vet.) then BE THERE WHEN THEY OPEN!! Call and tell them you are on your way.
Your poor dog is suffering.. This is why it is so important to keep our pets up to date on all needed vaccinations.
Good luck.

It sounds like Parvo. Has your dog has shots? If it has had its puppy shots, then it probably isn't Parvo, but could be poisoning, from eating something bad, like a dead animal, a mushroom, a plant, etc. You need to get the pup to a vet right away. If he hasn't had a Parvo shot, they will probably give him one. They might want to hook him up to IVs at the vet. If they let you take him home, you will need to have someone with him 24/7 to let him know he is loved, and PRAY. I have seen a few pups pull through Parvo, and it is mainly through their owner's love and prayers. I am hoping he just ate something that made him very sick and will get over it. In any case, please get him to a vet immediately. My heart goes out to you and I wish you the best of luck.

Dogs who have parvo DO stop drinking, parvo will dehydrate a dog, the method to help this is fluids. My daughters dog had it when she was young, took her to the vet where they gave her injections of fluid and when released back to her, the vet said, make sure she drinks, which luckily she did..take your pup to a vet if you even think it has parvo, its life threatening

Sounds like it, you need to see the vet ASAP. If this is parvo, dont bring another dog the area your furbaby was in for at least a year. It lays in wait and well infect another if you bring one in to soon.
