He probably wants to ask you out too but holds back for the same reason you are. Just do it. You will never get anywhere in life if you don't take chances.

Good luck.

People say they 'find' love, as if it were an object hidden by a rock. But love takes many forms, and it is never the same for any man and woman. What people find then is a certain love.

Love, like rain, can nourish from above, drenching couples with a soaking joy. But sometimes, under the angry heat of life, love dries on the surface and must nourish from below, tending to its roots, keeping itself alive.

Lost love is still love. It takes a different form, that's all. You can't see their smile or bring them food or tousle their hair or move them around a dance floor. But when those senses weaken, another heightens. Memory. Memory becomes your partner. You nurture it. You hold it. You dance with it.

I don't know how old either of you are so that makes it pretty tough. If he is pretty young you have to be ready for immaturity.
I'd start by making a really light weight date to go to a local drive in for a soda or milk shake and see how he responds to that. You could also ask him and several friends to go to an arcade or movie, if there is one near you. That way it would be a group thing and he wouldn't feel threatened.

Talk to your his Sister (your friend) and tell her that you are interested in maybe going out with her brother and see what her thoughts are, there is a good chance that they have talked about it as well. And you will be able to get more insight on the situation.

your friend might not dig it....depends how good of freinds you are if you would choose the guy over her. If he's older than you than you and your friend the relationship might be too advanced for an amature

Just ask him if he'd like to go out to lunch sometime. You've got coupons or something. He'll go, especially if its free. And especially, if he likes you back
