Its hard for me to decide on what to say about this... As a military member I find it irrational to use massive amounts of troops to watch people run across the border.. wither you realize it or not that's all the national guardsmen down there can do.. is WATCH and report to INS ( That's the immigration folks). Sadly its a waste of the soldiers time not to mention If/When the first troop gets shot by a drug runner sneaking over the border the news company's are going to freak...
Now as a American... Security for the people and country of the good ol' U.S of A. comes first.. and honestly how can we do that without securing the Mexico and YES the Canada borders?? By the way ... It's been predicted that by the year 2025 Hispanic and Asian will be the dominate race in the U.S.
How will the black, white and Native American feel to be the minority in their own country? What will our children's children learn to speak in schools Spanish or English? We already have Spanish/English in the class rooms how long before it turns to Spanish/ Some Asian dialect?

Well, we sure need to do something to secure access to our country. We have illegals pouring across and draining our economy (Social services) and drug dealers transporting virtually unimpeded into the US, and open access to those who wish us less than good fortune. The military is the only thing I can think of that could do this. I am not fond of the idea, but we find ourselves in a situation where, after decades of inaction and if we are going to make a real effort, we have to take drastic measures.
I don't give a DAMN what anybody who doesn't have to live here has to say!

Yes, a couple of laptop weapons, a tank or 2 ( land mines don't seem to be authorized for warfare any more, do not forget we now have alot of legislation and laws to combating, we are not able to simply combat and do anything it takes to win, however are not able to holiday any of the foundations now) INS would deliver off those that make it move the moment fence.

Yup, keep those damned Americans out of other countries. While you're at it, build one at the Canada/US border as well,. Oh, and we gotta stop the oil, water, electricity, wood and other stuff from getting into the US. Can't have y'all using up OUR natural resources, now, can we?

maybe not a wall but a fence with guards that can shoot anyone attempting to cross, same for border with canada, as far as mines that would have to be a tactical decision made above my pay grade, but I dont see why not.
