I have an 8 month old Keeshond and a 7 yr old Pomeranian. Everytime my Keeshond sees my Pomeranian, he starts licking his eyes and my Pom tries to turn away from him. What the hell is going on with these two?

my pom does that for my maltipoo...he always has since the malti was a puppy, it's grooming him...the tear ducks can smell when they are running...i have never had a problem with the malties eyes because the pom has always kept them clean. and i have noticed the turning while licking...it helps the pom get into the right angle to clean his eyes... he'll even check his ears.... most animals in the animal world licks each other as a part of acceptance,
