If you have cancer somewhere in you (and you don't know it-so it's not from the treatment), could this be the cause of itching all over?

Yes, Cancer can be a sign of unexplained itching, but so can an allegric reaction, internal infections, extremly dry skin, stress, etc. So if you have no other symptoms are any reason to believe that u might have cancer, I would say you relax, cause all of the anxiety might also be causing the itching. If you itch for more then a few days I would suggest going to a doc. There are a number of reasons why you could itch, so it is better safe then sorry, that's what I say. Get a doc's opinion. They have medical degrees for a reason. Best of luck to you & I hope you are feeling better ASAP! :)

while cancer can cause a wide variety of symptoms, I wouldn't jump to that conclusion...there's so many things that can cause itching - skin disorders such a psoriasis, eczema, allergic reactions, chronic dry skin. Do you notice anything different with the appearance of your skin? redness? dryness? hives or bumps of any sort? Have you started on any new medications recently? (if so, it could be an allergic reaction - would could become serious)
At the very worst I'd say it may have something to do with your nervous system - which could be causing you to itch without an actually cause. If it persists or becomes worse, talk to your doc...and don't get worried over the cancer thing, unless you have unusual looking moles, I'd say that would be one of the last things a doc would consider.

I have a friend that has hodgkin's lymphoma. She said that she was itchy a lot. It turns out that was one of the symptoms of her cancer. I would worry because 99.9% of the time itching is caused by something else (allergic reaction etc.). But if it does persist for longer than a week or two make an appointment with your doctor. If it stops and you haven't had a check up or physical with your doctor (this year), make one anyway. Good luck

No, some cancers you have pain. Itching all over can be caused by different things. If you've been swimming, you could have "swimmers itch" or be allergic to something. Itching all over could be diabetes, you may want to get checked for that. But there are different reasons, best to see a doctor.

I would say it's a vitamin deficiency. There is nothing wrong with being a vegetarian but you need to make sure you get all the necessary vitamins and minerals, the best way I have found to do this is to make a smoothie containing spirulina every morning. It's a plant and is often called a super food because it contains so many vitamins/ minerals/amino acids etc that are good for you. It actually has more protein per gram compared to steak !!

High blood levels of glucose can cause several problems, including frequent urination, excessive thirst, hunger, fatigue, weight loss, and blurry vision. However, because type 2 diabetes develops slowly, some people with high blood sugar experience no symptoms at all. How to treat diabetes naturally https://tr.im/e8eir

Symptoms of type 1 diabetes:

Increased thirst
Increased urination
Weight loss in spite of increased appetite
Fatigue
Nausea
Vomiting

Patients with type 1 diabetes usually develop symptoms over a short period of time, and the condition is often diagnosed in an emergency setting.

Symptoms of type 2 diabetes:

Increased thirst
Increased urination
Increased appetite
Fatigue
Blurred vision
Slow-healing infections
Impotence in men

If you think you have diabetes i think you should have a checkup and speak with your doctor just in case.
