No it's just a well written book of fiction much like any other novel written for entertainment purposes. Read Angels and Demons by the same author, another well written book. The problem is that too many christians are so threatened by anothing that may go against their beliefs.

By the way is the Bible not also a well written book of fiction?

Not wholly, no. It is a work of fiction, but I also believe that there are probably grains of truth in there somewhere. I don't think the concepts are so far-fetched. We have no idea what Jesus did from the years of 12 to 32. They are "mysteriously" undocumented in the bible. What do people normally do during those two decades? Study, work, travel, marry, procreate. Why would he be so different? He was human as well as divinely spiritual.

I believe most of the story is true even if they can prove there was no Priory. Let's face it, the church had a lot of cover ups and stomped out a lot of controversy the dirty way a lot in those years, all the metaphors fit perfectly, who's to say there isn't one more secret just because there's no secret society protecting it?

NO> its just fiction and really bad history> there is no proof of the authors claims...which he admitted himself...he wrote it w/ the sole purpose of selling many books $$$...which he did by controversy etc. It is just a tool of satan to decieve Christians...if your Christian remian faithful because there are alot of evil people out there trying to decieve...especially during the last days>.>>>

There is no credible historical evidence that Jesus was married.

See http://www.godsci.org/gs/dvc/ for an evaluation of the claims of the Da Vinci Code.

Cordially,

No. It has been proven over and over to be a lie. The guy who even wrote the "Secret Documents" in France fessed up to it all being a lie.

No, it's fiction. Even the author Dan Brown doesn't believe it's true since he knows he made most of it up.

I don't believe it is true BUT I do wonder if it was what the big deal is about?! Why is it so unbeleiveable to so many people that Jesus would have fathered a child?!

It's a very blasphemous movie, book, and (who the hell thought this up) videogame. I wouldn't even dare touch it. It's writhe with evil.
