We would just be using some other section then. Can't stop the debating. We will go to Home and Garden if we have to!

Yes I think this section should stay because it is an important part of people's lives. There are those who are helping and being helped here, but since it is the subject of religion and spirituality, it is bound to have more....excitement than other sections. Another heated place to check out is the politics section ;)

Some people just need to learn to be a little more respectful of others, that's all.

Why not? It is a place to go for answers and a lot of people do have good questions. Sure there is bashing but that is in every section on yahoo answers.

Yes, I think it's a fantastic forum for people from all backgrounds, cultures and so forth to voice their opinions and share their beliefs with everyone else. It's a great forum because it's safe- people can feel free to say what's really on their minds without having to worry about getting into a physical confrontation over their viewpoints, and that's as it should be.
I think that reading the questions and answers in this category help educate and inform, regardless of the differences people have... hopefully expanding the horizons of all those who take the time to actually think about what they are reading, even if it "offends" them.

There is much to be learned from the differences in all of us. It is the one thing we all have in common!

I think it's a good section. The problem is with people who don't respect others right to believe what they want. I'm Christian and I posted a question a few weeks ago that we should be educating not berating. I find that I am getting fed up with the anti-Christian questions (if you can call them questions) that I am seeing and I have begun to report these people. They prove they are ignorant and immature by their questions.

Yes, because if they didn't all the people who ask about religion would just move to another section.

Yes, but I wish they would segment this further into various beliefs, including agnosticism and atheism.

If Australia travel can be broken down by cities, It seems that they could also further break down this category into smaller categories. It sure would reduce a lot of tensions.

if you don't think they should, then why are you here? Do you think that you can convince everyone to call Yahoo and ask them to remove it? If people can't take criticism for sharing their beliefs almost anonymously, then their faith is very weak. Persecution is what strengthens faith. That is why faith got so weak in America. I hope it is on the rise.

I think it's a lot uglier over in the political section!

of course its interesting to hear everyones opionion... the sad part is that some weenies get upset and start reporting others for their opion, when they should be reporting people for being vulgar or something
