Jesus was talking to a group of pharisees that had questioned who he was, and where (who ) he came from. He fussed to them that they could not understand him because they were not of God and not "truly" Abraham's sons, and instead they wanted to do the devils work -kill Jesus!

Who is he talking to? You are quoting out of context so it could have any meaning. I am not going to go read the whole thing.

devil is a representative of our human desire to be close to God through physical things and not our own spirit of God.

Paul referred to the lust of the flesh as such desire as well. Beware of the traditions of your forefathers and such.

Truth is the knowledge of oneness and complete love and grace.
