By name seems you are from my country India....and certainly the problem you have mentioned is literally everywhere. It could have been good if you put anything about your husband too, whether he is on your side or whether he is keeping himself behind the wall of mother and his sister. If he loves you and cares you, then other things really immaterial for you. Just try to encourage him to live separately. I think that will solve much of your headache.................(this is from a fellow who is like your kid brother...Raj)

Please do yourself a favor and read the book "Toxic In-Laws." It will help you so much. I promise! But in the meantime, just be the better person, and don't take any crap from them. Talk to your husband about this. Are they rude to you? If so, that cannot be tolerated, have your husband correct them. But if they just flat don't like you, there's not alot to be done, it's sad, but you don't have to like them either. There's nothing in the marriage rule book that says "Thou shalt love thy mother in law." I have a sis in law I can't stand either. I just avoid her, basically. At family functions I'll be polite to her, and thank God when we leave that I don't have to live within a 100 mile radius of her.

Just remember your husband married YOU. And while you married his family as well, you married him first. If his mother and sister don't like you, it's their problem, not yours. Good luck!
