It usually won't make it out of your mailbox; but if u drop it off somewhere, it will be returned to the sender (you.) Unless you didn't put you sender information on the envelope.

If The Letter Has Proper Postage And Is Addressed Properly, It Will Get To Where It Is Addressed To.

If It Has No Postage Applied To It, Expect To Get It Back In The Mail In A Day Or Two. Put A Stamp On It, Then, Send It Again.

Most likely the recipent of the letter will find it stamped POSTAGE DUE 17 cents and the recipient will be responsible to pay this amount. Then again, the letter may just 'slip through' without any postage due. Generally speaking, if the postage due amount is minimal, the letter will be sent to the recipient. On the other hand, if the postage due is a substantial amount, the letter will be returned to the sender.

If the mail doesn't get stamped the Post Office will send it back to you,if they find it. If you get mail that isn't stamped you can use the stamp again.
