wow!!!!! Find new vet! Good idea.... what the hel.l is up with him even saying that...... freakin sicko..... so many people think its ok to kill cats because there is an over population....ya...! well the same with humans. but we dont go around killing babies....(ok i guess some do with the whole abortion thing...but you know what i mean) . Anyways. If your cat is pregnant give it a couple weeks and she will get a "few" lumps in her tummy. If you think she is pregnant I would wait.

I believe that in the event that Cabbage is actually pregnant, it would be worth getting an X-ray, don't you? If she is not pregnant it would b a loss but if she is, i would definitely be proud of myself for sacrificing something to get something better out of it. The money you can earn back, but the kittens wouldn't just appear again out of no where. My mother had a cat when she was younger that ran away for months at a time, and when she finally found her cat it was in her toybox (empty) with a few kittens in it. I'm no vet, but I think this is the normal *what's the word....?* Personality? Of a pregnant cat.

Sorry to tell you this but all vets would tell you the options you have if your cat is pregnant...get her spayed while pregnant, or let her have the kittens. He was just letting you know what can and cannot be done surgically...so you are getting a new vet because he told you what your options are????? Maybe if you would not let your unspayed cat out in the first place you would not be in this dilemma now.

Many vets will spay a cat while pregnant because there are so many unwanted kittens as it is. If you feel like keeping the pregnancy and kittens, keep her indoors ALL THE TIME till she has weaned the kittens, or she will become pregnant again before they are weaned, and your cycle will never end. Have her spayed asap when she is done nursing.

You won't know for sure if she is pregnant for another couple of weeks.
