Jesus supposedly gave up his life for sins which we didn't commit yet (since we didn't even exist back then)..and Satan gives us riches and beautiful things in exchange for our souls. Who is more loving?

First of all; we are our souls. I explained this to someone the other day, but I will do it again.

Some people say we are our brains or heart; I disagree. I'll explain.

Supposedly our brains are wired in the first few years of our lives. A perent raises twins pretty close to the same. In the first few years they have the same experiences. So, how is it that twins can be as different as night and day. They were born the same way ussually so that doesn't explain it either. Neither does being born 30 minutes before the other (highly unlikely it would take that long).

So lets move on to the heart. The heart is just an organ that keeps us alive. So it again can not be the heart or brain.

So what could it be? hmm. A soul.

O.k. now that we figured out what a soul is lets see your question.

Satin gives us riches and beautiful things for who we are. Think about it. He would be giving these things to an empty core not you. Which makes him not love you at all. You give him yourself for nothing.

Now forget about the whole sin issue. Jesus gave up his life for you. Think about it.

If somebody was about to shoot you and somebody stepped in front of the bullet getting killed. How much love does that show you? Even if sin was not real; he gave up his life for you.

So the answer to your question is easy; Jesus.

Be honest; is there anybody you would die for?

Of course Jesus loves us more, because He sacrifice His life for a Sin which was yet to be committed, therefore He Cared not only for the present generation (then) but the future generation as well (Now).

Satan wanted our soul so that he would have great pleasures torturing us in hell, because we are part of God, and Satan hated God. And that is not a bit loving of him.

Jesus gave up his life for the collective brokeness of mankind. God deals with groups of people as well as individuals. So even though you hadn't sinned, God knew that because of our physical existence we couldn't span the canyon between our physical existence to God's spirital Existence. So he took the form of a human and crossed the canyon for us, and takes our hand through his son Jesus, and is our tour guide to the other side which is the spritual relm.

So what Satan does is try to keep us content in the physical relm so that we will miss out on the spiritual blessings.

Satan doesn't love unconditionally he consumes, takes, and he certainly does not build a relationship with us based on love.

God wants to relate with us, Satan wants to own us.

Is this a serious question?

Do you honestly feel that money or cars or jewelry or whatever is worth your soul? Do you think you get to take that with you to Hell? Do you have any concept of what Hell is?

In case you didn't know, Satan hates you. He hates you with a hate so fierce it is beyond our ability to understand it. He may promise you riches and beautiful things and make life here comfortable, but that's only because he is trying to lock you away in a pit of suffering and torture so vile that it's worse than the worst suffering you could ever go through as a human being.

I'm not making this up and I'm not exaggerating.

Jesus is eternal. Because He is eternal, His death covers all of humanity for all time - past, present and future. He did this because He loves you and wants to give you happiness and peace and joy beyond any stupid diamond ring you could ever think of, or house or car or whatever.

Yes, they both want your soul. One wants to torture it, and the other wants to love it. Any questions?

This is a difficult question.

In my beliefs of the Christian religion, satan isn't that bad. He denied God and Jesus. Well a large portion of the world does that too but they carry on just fine. They're not satan as far as I know. He tries to get us to give into temptation but what kind of God would give us the freedom and them make our bodies crave sinful things? It doesn't make sense to me. I believe in God and Jesus.. just not as the Christians do. Too many rules that are obviously not stated by God. Christianity was in it's peak when people were suffering. What would keep people on this planet? What would make people try hard? Promising them a perfect afterlife that you could get if you followed the rules and loved the people who made them.

Christian beliefs are different, obviously. Satan is often portrayed as the root of all evil. He causes sin in everyone and loves it. You'd have to look more into Demonology if you wanted a better explaination. Check out www.amazon.com or www.answers.com.

I'm not positive, but I would consider Jesus to be the more loving. To sacrifice yourself for someone/everyone, that is a very loving and devoted act. Just giving someone/people some stuff worth some money is nice, but Satan gained more from it in the end, since he got souls, and didn't even have to die for them.

Wow. Just when I thought that people couldn't be more completley off base about Christ, here it is. Jesus loves you more. Satan may give you beautiful things, but there is a price and no he dosen't love you. BTW, how can you love and believe in satan and not in Christ? We inherited our fallen nature from Adam and Eve. We fell because of Satan. Why, now, would you choose to follow something that brought sickness, death and pain into our lives????

Assuming one believes in Jesus & Satan (and that Satan takes one to Hell to torture/imprison your soul, wheras Jesus takes one to Heaven to hang out), I think the question comes to whether you think Heaven or Hell is a better place.

Given what I know of love (no definition has yet been written that I think is definitive ;-), the entity that would want you to reach your best possible state of being would be the one that loves you more. So which state of being do you want, Heaven or Hell?

It's only short-term thinking (which the citizens of the U.S.A. seem to be really good at) to want to trade your immortal soul for anything in this one mortal life. Satan offers this option... does Jesus? After all, at least some followers of Jesus say you have to believe in Him to get to Heaven, and you're trading any other belief in a God in this one mortal life to get to Heaven through Jesus.

[For the record... I personally believe I'd pick Heaven, given what I have been told of Hell (or at least given the concept of Hell); it would better match who I am. Now, whether I have to believe that Jesus is the Son of God and the ONLY way to get to Heaven or not is another matter, and a question you didn't ask... ;-)]

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.

The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of God plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.

Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.

Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.

Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

Jesus did give his Earthly physical life to save us from our sins. There's no "supposedly" about it. Satan is the father of lies and, just like a pedophile who lures children into his car with puppies and candy and tales of sweetness, and then destroys them. That's Satan's work.

So, Satan---who would love to see you burning for eternity because you already got your candy, puppies, and your selfish desires on Earth---that just "got you in the car." When you get into hell, he will stand back and laugh at you while you scream in agony.

No, doesn't sound like love to me.

We have a Heavenly Father who has given us choices. You can choose sin or you can choose life. It's you choice. But just remember---you will reap the consequences of those choices. Your life on Earth has been easy compared to what's in store for you if you choose Satan.

Just read the Book of Revelations. God wins.
