Why do so many Christians ignore the concept of the final judgment and resurrection of the dead, preaching some unbiblical concept about flying up into the clouds when you die?

Im was christened a catholic as a child but now im an adult and have started studying the bible, ive found that the church doctrine is different than the bible especially regarding heaven and hell and death, the bible says that noone except christ has ascended to the heavens the rest are asleep in the grave ( the dead know nothing) those that died in christ will rise first then all those alive who obey will rise and meet him in the air then they will reign together a thousand years of peace after that the rest will be judged according to what they done some to everlasting glory some to everlasting shame and contempt, but they will have a chance to repent those that never were introduced to jesus while they were alive and those that did know him once and turned away, but god will destroy the wicked and the face of the earth with fire, those that refuse to repent and went to make war with god, the catholics also pray to a lot of saints etc, which are really asleep in the grave, i think its a way of dealing with grief and losing a loved one, some say the catholic religion is paganistic and false roots, satan will use that religion to deceive the people in these end times, claiming to be christ himself because he has already deceived them and the old holy roman empire will be resurrected a joining of church and state, germany and the papacy (the king of the north) this rising beast power will fight the king of the south mainly iran, then he will be troubled by news from the east a two hundred million army from rising world super power china and russia , this power will destroy both those armies and will join together and make war with christ in the valley of armageddon sadly christ will defeat all these armies and then start to rebuild the earth with all the saints and apostles helping him rule in his kingdom which will last forever. www.keyofdavid.com

Actually, the scripture doesn't say "flying up in the clouds." The scripture says that we will meet Christ in the air.

1 Thes. 4:16-17 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: [17] Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Because too many Christians cling to the bible verse that says "the dead in Christ shall rise first..." found in I Thessalonians 4:15-17. This is not about a pre-tribulation rapture, in fact the verse preceding it talks about Christians "who are left till the coming of the Lord." In fact, if you take Revelations chronologically, most Christians alive will go through most of the Great Tribulation. The Bible only speaks of the escape from the wrath to come, which to me, means they will get raptured before Armageddon.

Pre-tribulation Christians prefer to think that God will not allow them to suffer, and there is unfortunately no guarantee that will happen. Christians need to realize, we will go through trials and tribulations (I Peter 5:7) and that means, we need to be prepared.

I hope I'm wrong and Christians get raptured at the Beginning of the Tribulation. But if I'm NOT wrong, there are a lot of Christians who will not be prepared for living in the Great Tribulation.

Both things that you mention are in the Bible.
.
1Th 4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
1Th 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

1Th 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

if you mean that everyone is going to heaven then that's unbiblical b/c only those who have Jesus in their heart are going to heaven and the rest will burn in hell for eternity

The biblical concept is equally false.

The flying up in the clouds when you die is not judgment day. The Rapture, or being caught up together to Jesus, is from the below as one example:

1 Thessalonians 4:13-17: "But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."

Judgment day comes after the tribulation at Jesus' 2nd coming on earth. Jesus doesn't actually come to earth for the rapture, he calls his Church (Christians) up to him. This is because Christians believed by faith and not seeing, rewarded so by avoiding the tribulation.

From www.raptureready.com

One of the most obvious benefits of being ready for the rapture is not having to suffer through the tribulation. Here are four passages that indicate that believers will not be left to suffer the outpouring of God's wrath:

"Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man" (Luke 21:36).

"And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come" (1 Thessalonians 1:10).

"For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ" (1 Thessalonians 5:9).

"Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth " (Revelation 3:10).

If you're included in the rapture, you will be taken to heaven--the place that is a synonym for happiness. The Bible tells us that in heaven there are no health problems, moral failures, economic hardships, or marital difficulties.

The most important benefit of being included in the rapture is the chance to finally meet the Lord of Lords face to face. It's hard to envision what that experience will be like, but seeing one’s Creator certainly has to be the ultimate fulfillment of a person's existence.

"Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing" (2 Tim 4:8).

"Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure" (1 John 3:2-3).
