that all depends on the definition of good and bad...
I'd think it obvious that being a kind, respectful human trumps being a "fake" and purporting to belong to a certain belief system... there are a whole lot of hypocrites and I think if you SAY you are something and you don't actually behave that way, you are NOT actually that thing... it's not possible.

It's better to be a good person without god or religion.

More the latter, however, it is not a true idea. If one walks in the Spirit he will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. To "have religion", assuming you mean to be an active believer, you must walk in the Spirit.
I John 3:9
No one born (begotten) of God [deliberately, knowingly, and habitually] practices sin, for God's nature abides in him [His principle of life, the divine sperm, remains permanently within him]; and he cannot practice sinning because he is born (begotten) of God. (Amplified Bible)
That doesn't say that a believer doesn't sin, but that they no longer make it a habit as before.

It is always better to be a good person. I know I would prefer to be surrounded by good people whether they believe in a God or not.

God & religion are only for those ppl who dun bad things & need some confession so that they will feel less guilty (mean they are finding some excuses for themself!)
But its better to be a good person so that whatever you do you will feel happy for yourself... (life will be easier)

Most people I know who "have religion" so to speak, are downright bad to the core... self-serving, hateful individuals with no regard to anyone else's beliefs or feelings. The "good" people I come across are often those who are either lost, at a crossroads, or just believe in themselves.

you should do good things no matter what. everyone is going to do bad things whether people like it or not. I believe in God and i know that it is eaiser to live by doing good than evil. Just because you try to do what is right doesn't mean you will and no one is perfect

Neither.
It is better to be a Good Christian (who lives in daily relationship with the Christian God, and in obedience to Christ).
Cordially,
John

If God is in your life, and you are letting Him take control, He will strengthen you and you really can't be a "bad" person...if u kno what i mean - i don't kno exactly how 2 put it

yes and no.
obviously you are aware of the concept of God the Bible and other books.
If you have heard part of the Bibles message you are now responsible to investigate it thoroughly.
If you had never had a chance to hear it and did good, the Bible says you are a witness unto yourself.
so yes, and no.

anyone can know God and religion and have them....they can be bad...as long as they repent..because if they dont then they dont have God because if they dont repent then they are sinners and sinners dont go to heaven...if they are bad konw God and foloow him by repenting then they become good followers...thats whats better...this is my opinion
