No. And unless you have personally lived with someone with an addiction to drugs, it is impossible to judge someone for getting a divorce. Besides, the link below has a discussion board that indicates that Amy's first husband Gary Chapman was married again to someone as well, named Jennifer. I greatly admire Amy Grant and Vince Gill, and a divorce is not enough to make me stop appreciating them.

She was married to Gary Chapman a while back and then married Vince Gill. (not Neil, but that's funny) And by the way it wasn't just Amy doing the nasty while married. Gary was too. I saw him at the movies in Nash. with a woman who was not Amy, about 6 months before the "we're getting divorced" announcement was made. And they were definitely more than just friends.
I think anyone who lost respect for Amy did so because she sold out and went mainstream.

I'm not a Christian, but I did used to love her Christian music (Angels Watching Over Me and El Shaddai were my favourite songs of hers) - when I lost respect her was when she started singing pop and country music and totally got away from her music roots and started sounding like everyone else. What she does in her personal life is not my concern. Divorce happens, but she didn't have to sell out into the musical mainstream!

I lost respect for her when she used singing christian music as a stepping stone for other music, she wasn't truly into singin christian then was she. Then, not only did she get a divorce, she left her husband for another man, who had to leave his wife for her. I hope they are happy, sure aren't very christianly.

Some did, but they shouldn't judge people on what they don't understand. Divorce happens to Christians too.

Unfortunately yes...some Christians can't cope with the fact that some marriages don't work out.

i think they lost respect for her after they found out she was sleeping with vince neil while still married to gary whatshisface. the divorce was just her hypocritical crowning achievement.

I think most Christians love her even if she does something that they feel was wrong. There is nothing wrong with wanting people to have good lives.
