You might half to close it off. Use ctrl+alt+delete or whatever your method of opening task manager. Then see if that process is still running. Lots of programs like to run in a messed up state even after closing them. If you end the process you can probably open it again.
But if it contiunes you might need to update something or reinstall it.

Do a virus scan
Uninstall, reboot to clean up all references and then reinstall the latest version

If your using the BETA version uninstall it and install a previous version that dosnt have the problems that Beta does...go to www.freecreed.com and get a previous version of Messenger there..Good Luck

Uninstall YM with Tune Up Utilities. Then download and install a new one.

There are two new downloads for messenger, if one doesnt work try the other.
