Yes. It makes a thud and I scream. So, there are actually two sounds.

Yes, the wood splinters giving way make snapping sounds, and as the tree falls, if it hits other objects or tree's you have the sound of impact or if its a clear fall the whooshing noise that you get when stuff moves through the air at fairly high speeds, you would hear all that before the tree fell on you. then when it did fall, you wont hear it, but there is a big humphing impact sound.

And you say it falls on you.. If it falls on my foot, i can still hear the sound no? Although i'll probably make more sound than the tree at this moment =D

If you are deaf then it does not make a sound as it takes hearing to turn the sound waves into audiable tones. But, if the butterfly cries as the tree falls on its leg and the butterfly is heard by himself, then yes, sound is made.

Well, I know I would make a sound if a tree fell on me. At that point, I wouldn't care whether the D*** tree made a sound!

Odds are I would not die immediately, the tree would take me down. I am sure there would be lotsa pain and noise as I leave my body. Silly, silly question.
