First, to prevent eggshells from cracking, add a pinch of salt to the water before hard-boiling.

To shell the egg:

Gently tap both the top and bottom of the egg on your kitchen counter and run cold water over it.
Then roll the egg back and forth to crack and lift the shell away from the egg.
Run more cold water over the egg while peeling for extra help.
At this stage, you should be able to peel the entire shell easily.

Well Racheal Ray said that you should drop the eggs in boiling water, let them boil for about 10 minutes, then take it off the eye.
Move it to an unoccupied eye and just let them sit for about 5 minutes( while covered) and you will have perfect hard boiled eggs every time. ~Good Luck~

Bring water and eggs to a boil. Once boiling, remove from heat and keep covered for 15 minutes. (This prevents green yolks) Rinse under cold running water. Peel and eat.
