Study, become strong in your faith as a Christian, volunteer at your church, attend seminary.

Cordially,

First things first. Complete your basic education. Join a good church and attend a good young people's fellowship. After your education, think of joining a Bible College. After graduation, you can become a Pastor. But wait on the Lord before all this. Unless the Lord calls you specifically for His ministry, you cannot become a Pastor. Remember, this is not a profession like you chose to become an engineer or a doctor or something. You have to be sure that the Lord is calling you for full time work. Then start looking for a Bible College. God's blessings on you in your Christian Life.

1. you have made a great step and may you blessed.
2. if you felt lead by the Holy spirit to study for a pastor do it , if you do not do it you will disobey the Holy Spirit.
3. Pray about it and remind God that you are His child and ask Him to lead you whether you should become a pastor or not.
The best teacher though for becoming a pastor is the Holy Spirit and the Bible.
No school can teach you what the Holy Spirit can teach you.
Put your trust and faith in God and let Him lead you the way.
Messiah Yeshua Jesus bless you.

If you are serious then you need to have a chat with you Pastor and then see where you can assist in things within the church. They might just be putting the chairs out or welcoming at the door but all these things need to be done and we need to be servants for Christ.
I will give you a couple of sites to go onto so you can learn more about walking with Jesus and how to be careful to avoid false teaching. My husband and son are both at Bible college so if you want any help please email me.

I'm so glad that you chose to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior.....how wonderful.....I would spend time in prayer and seek God on this....He calls those into ministry ....He may want you to be a Pastor or He may have other plans for you...but be patient and don't stop praying and seeking God on this...He will show you the way you are to go.....what ever his plan for your life is ...I am sure it will be the most exciting for you...after all he created you to do it...no one else can fill your shoes ....my son is a Minister....He was praying one day about a year after He came to know the lord in his teen years and the lord showed him what he was called for and then it was confirmed through prophetic word and He waited and prayed and sought the Lord and God showed him what school to go to and now he is on his way.....but it takes Gods timing and I just wish to encourage you to not get discouraged as you wait upon the lord to reveal to you what he has called you to do......God Bless and I'm thankful you became a true child of God.......

I would strongly suggest reading some books about the history of Christianity. You may think this would be extremely dull, but it will give you a firm grounding regarding the practices and beliefs, and more importantly it will explain why they are practiced. I also recommend a book entitled The Case for Faith and The Case for Christ by Lee Strobel. The author is an investigative reporter who was an atheist before converting to Christianity.

Hello friend,
You have started a new life in Christ and there is much you need to learn from God. He is patient and more than willing to teach you and grow you up in the faith.
You are to be commended in your desire to serve the Lord. May I suggest you look at James 3:1 just as a point of reference. I would not dare to try to talk you out of your desire, but there is a great responsibility that goes with such a desire.
Take your time friend, take time to marvel at Christ, walk with Him and ask Him many questions. Enjoy your youth. Put Christ first and in His time and as He wills, you may well be the next "Apostle Paul".
Blessings,
2 Tim 2:7

it takes schooling just like nearly every other job in society, that or you have to be born into a famous family of pastors. I have a friend who recently graduated with his bachelor of science and is now giong on to get his masters in divinity. I have an uncle who also has a phd in something to do with the Bible (i am not exactly sure what his degree area is called). Basically, you will need a Graduate degree.

I would suggest to pray about it, I know this sounds flippant, but you do not enter any full time ministry without much time spent on your knees. It is a calling, a burden you have in your soul for this. Read passages of Scripture concerning overseers and shepherds, especially I Timothy and Titus. Be prepared for a lot of schooling. Study and know the Word, be prepared to defend it. Be rock solid in your faith, know what you believe and why. Look for open doors the Lord provides, and have the courage to enter them. God bless you in this and I pray that if this is your calling, you will endeavor to serve God and His people with everything you have.

I would suggest having your pastor mentor you while you are in High school then go off to a Good Bible College and Seminary. Get into your Bible Everyday. Read your Bible all the way through (I would suggest starting with Luke). Pray all the time. Get very close to God. He will show you how to fufill his will.
