,I was a SEAL. I know it is painted as a macho bulsh*** job but I loved it. It combined the physical with the mental in a way no job can.

The Navy rules brother; shipmate to shipmate every man is the Navy is my brother. Join the Navy and every job is the best.

On the pragmatic side my Submariner brothers also insist that any job on a sub is the best.

I worked with computer so do Submariners, all jobs in the Navy revolve around computers

Information System Tech. Basically you deal with radio communication, satellite communication, cryptographic material, computer repair, computer network engineering, and computer network administration. It's what I did for 4 years while I was in the Navy and I think it was a pretty good job. Also when you're an IT you advance faster then people in most other rates.

Be a Cryptologist. There are several ratings in that field. They all require a Top Secret Clearance. You can get a very good job in government employ when you get out, and even if you don't want to do that, the clearance alone makes you VERY marketable in the private sector when you get out.

Here's a site where you can check all the enlisted rates for the Navy, along with a brief description of them all.

People are really well treated and promoted on submarines. Takes a special person though to stay down 30 days at a time.
