he's intrested in you, although he doesn't want to commit I think.. he's inventing excuses..
Talk to him straight.

That means he cares about you but dont necessarily want to be with you like that anymore. Sometimes feelings change. Maybe you should try reverse pschology and act as if you dont care, if he still dont care than you got your answer....I find it to work.

boys are weird. maybe you can try to fake to be really really ill and see if he is worried. that way, you can tell whether he is using you as an excuse to talk to your friend, or whether he's really trying to find out more about you from your friend.

i think you should sit down and talk to him, and figure out what his deal is. however, if he's not mature enough to express himself without just avoiding you maybe you guys need time apart to grow up before committing to a relationship.
