Life, REAL life is only found through a life lived for God. We are always just one generation from the total abandonment of that great Truth. THAT is the most important thing to teach not only the NEXT generation, but THIS generation, as well.

I think the young ones now need to have respect for the older generations and get to know them a bit. I am not knowing if it is the most important but it is the first thing that comes to mind. I would love my kids to help the older generation too. Go visit the old folks home, help the elderly in the store if they wanted or needed it give one a ride to the Dr. if they didnt have a way to get there. Stuff like that.

To respect all humanity and treat everyone with the love and dignity they deserve. One thing that's been lost by many people is the ability to love the person next to them on the bus, the old lady without a seat...few people care enough now a days to give them their seat. We need to get that love back. Teach our children to love each other no matter race, color, religious beliefs, social standing, etc. We're all humans and deserve love, respect and to be treated with dignity.

To take a hard look at the mess made by the adults (some good too) and find a way to save us from ourselves. Someday all this will be yours...that might not be a good deal for the young.
Think for yourselves.
Resist hatred.
Give to others.
Remember, you're just stopping by this life and it's people that make life worth doing, not stuff.

Kind of hard to answer. It's good to teach you children to make a positive contribution to society. To be fair. Teach them about equality. It's hard to say but teach them every thing you know and prepare them for the world at large. Prepare them for the situation they are going to encounter.

Most important? Gain command of the language. Even a genius is a wasted commodity if he/she is unable to communicate his/her insights to the rest of the world.

To respect themselves and others, and to be not taken in by all the bull$hit that goes on. In other words to think for themselves without needing to put anyone else "down". (Which is a sign of lack of self-respect)

"It's Matter of Respect!"
would cover many issues...
--importance of God
-- importance of self-love
--due benevolence towards the elderly, children, all members of soceity regardless of socio-economic status/race/other mundane characteristics;
--importance of property rights (e.g. No stealing)
--importance of learning
--importance of pursuing excellence (doing your best)
