The man wanted to kill Venezuela's Hugo Chavez. I don't care what kind of loser Chavez is, that's just wrong. Worse, he tried to get out of it with this:

"I didn't say 'assassination.' I said our special forces should 'take him out.' And 'take him out' can be a number of things, including kidnapping; there are a number of ways to take out a dictator from power besides killing him. I was misinterpreted by the AP [Associated Press], but that happens all the time," Robertson said.

Since when is it okay to kidnap people? Just because they're dictators who happen to control the nation we get most of our oil from it suddenly makes it okay to kidnap them and then have to hold them in a prison facility, like Gitmo, indefinitely? It was only after more criticism did he bother to actually apologize and it was an awful apology at that. I am completely appalled.

I think he makes all Americans look bad. I don't take him for an adequate representative for Christianity and I can't understand why the man still has television platform to preach from.

Pat Robertson is the symbol of what is wrong with Christianity today. People are too full of themselves and their own righteousness to really give a damn about anyone else. They look for the end of the world so that God will exclude them from the rest of us "sinners" I think most are up for a big surprise!

I can't say whether his motivation is honest or dishonest, but I disagree with many of the things he says. I think many Christians feel the same way. The same is true of Paul and Jan Crouch, John Hagee, Peter Popoff, and many others. These are the most visible Christians to the nonbelievers. But as believers we see everyday Christians all the time. The strongest Christians I know are not on TV. They are the ones dying of cancer or old age or so many other things, but when I go visit them they are praying for me. WOW

He talks way too much, and it is amazing the negativity that comes out of his mouth, especially given that "God is love".
