By all means, what is wrong with that? By attempting to test God, one is acknowledging the presence. It is vanity and a sense of superiority of human intellect that drives one to question the existence of God. Once a person realizes that God transcends the intellect and the senses, and calls for a totally different kind of faculty to be devleloped to perceive Him, one accordingly alters ones way of life.

God says not to test him. Believe or find out differently
what he can do. God is real, he does not play games.

'Coz Jesus said don't.
Remember when satan took Jesus to the top of a mountain and told Jesus all He had to do was jump off the cliff and the angels would catch Him? Remember what Jesus said? In today's jargon "don't be testing God"

Because if you had faith, you wouldn't need to "test" God. you should just know in your heart that he exists, or whatever your "test" might be.

Because they do not have good explanations when people question the validity of their faith.
When you have no answer... "thou shalt not doubt" seems to shut people up quick!
