I see all these statistics on civilian death toll and what not in Lebanon. I am completely against war, that is unless all other options have been explored, which in the case of Israel v.s. the middle east, they have. I see all sorts of crap about calls for immediate cease fire, we want peace, yadda yadda. If you compare the number of civilian deaths in Israel over the years when they were at "peace" with the palestinians, being car bombed constantly, to the number of civilian deaths Israel is inflicting in this war, won't the numbers weigh heavily against Hezbollah? Wouldn't those numbers make Israel, in fact, look more like the victim?

Seems the definition of peace in the middle east is Israel going to work and trying their best to cope with the bombs without hurting anyone.

Right now there are no numbers. I have not heard any numbers in this debate other than the death toll numbers now. I would love to understand more about this war, but the media just isn't giving it to the people. From what I've come to understand thus far, your point is valid. I see Israel as fighting back also. But then where does this end? There will always be people furious over this battle. Will the hatred have been abolished along with the buildings and lives? Somehow I don't think so. We will see I guess.

Regarding body counts in Lebanon, two points:
1. Hezbollah makes it a practice to hide among civilians. Typical coward jihadis.
2. They don't wear uniforms, so all counting is guesswork. The numbers are just used by reporters to advance their agendas.

Regardless of how the numbers work out, you can't use them. Having more victims doesn't make your cause more just. Israel is supported by American because it is morally right.

Good point. If you look at what Israel has given up, they have tried the peace route.

It is more popular to criticize Israel.

Notice how nobody is talking about the Israeli hospital that got hit by a Hezbollah missile?
