last time i checked, people die in war, chances are they were killed by an IED(improvised explosive devise), or another form of indirect fire. thats something that you cannot fight against. the terrorist know that too. IED's are the number one killer over there. they know better than to take a squad of iraqis v.s. a squad of marines, they would get slaughtered

Because, they don't know who their enemies are, but their enemnies knows exactly who are their targets. Marines are in uniform and military vehicles, while Iraqi insurgents are mix with civilian populace. Unless, they started firing thier weapons against you, you wouldn't know who are your enemies. They (Iraqi's) are good in guerrilla type of warfare, but not the americans. Remember Vietnan war? Americans were slaugthered by the Viet-cong.
