I went on our church canoe trip last year and rowed for 7 straight hours ( 10+ miles) and did not get tipped over.
It was great ! It's a great time.

Just blend in and the girl who invited you
will feel better and better as you get closer to her and you know each other better. It won't happen in one week but it will over time.

Lots of girls with so called bf s don't marry that Mr Right Now guy ----- so you really have a good chance if you stay with her and get more and more involved.and know each other better and besides__ she started going with that guy not knowing how YOU feel about her__ when the time is right__ tell her and if she is the right one , you'll get together___ all things considered Go For It !

Since I haven't seen a serious answer here yet, I'll tell you what I think. I think she thinks of you only as a friend. She is being nice, and she likes you as a person. She is probably hoping to see if you'll meet any girls there that she knows, and then she is probably hoping that the four of you can double-date. She likes your company, and she is friendly, but friends rarely turn out to become more than that. You are her buddy, and because she thinks you're a good guy, she hopes you and a nice female friend of hers will get together...then she can include you in the things she does with her boyfriend. I know because I used to do things like that with platonic male friends. I did not preach to them. It is a SOCIAL function.

Where's her boyfriend on this trip? She invited YOU, not him. Might not be as much of a challenge as you think. Go for it and have fun!

you have to be sure she wants something more than being your best friend or else you will disappoint her and spoil what you both have. you can start by asking what kind of guys she likes and what she expects of a guy, if you feel you have the qualities, tell her some times you feel she was more than a friend , he reaction will tell you a lot

Yeah, "church" group. It sounds like a CULT to me! Run! Run away before you're converted!

Just go and see what happens. Ask her how serious she is about her BF. Why didn't she invite him?
