I'm not Christian, but you sound like you may also not be the most pleasant personality to have to sit next to for any length of time.

I could imagine sitting next to a christian, muslim, sikh, hindu, buddhist, a jew, and so forth. I don't have anything against sitting by anyone no matter what race or religion they are. I have learned that open-mindedness is a good thing. It has taught me to respect all things, I may not agree but at least I try to be considerate of everyone and all the belief system.

Yes, most are very nice, just dont talk about religion or politics, but thats true not just with xtians...
Everyone has the right to their own opinion even if you dont share it. If theres any hope for Christians to have acceptance for others shouldnt they get acceptance too? Treat others as you wish to be treated? Freedom of religion.
Just like youre free to say no if someone is preaching to you and you dont want to hear it.
Lets talk about the weather or fishing ... and sit in peace...

You've sat by hundreds and you didn't even know it. What? You think we just blab day and night without let up? We are not as obnoxious as you are.
I find it most unsettling setting next to people who all they do is curse every other word and tell dirty pointless jokes. We sit in silence and when we don't laugh at your dirty jokes and filthy remarks, you get angry and accuse us of thinking we are better just because we don't engage in your filth.
THAT is shoving something down people's necks and we face it every day - where as people like you might see a preacher on Tv (all you gotta do is change the channel) and accuse us of hounding you, and shoving the gospel down your throats.
Something is might out of kilter, son.

If your heart is filled with as much hatred as you project here, I doubt you will ever have to worry about it....
because I can't imagine anyone sitting next to YOU for 5 minutes, unless you somehow mellow out.
Why don't you lose the 'mad at the world' attitude?
It makes you look stupid, and I am not trying to be mean, just honest.

I recently had the opportunity to spend a six hour flight next to a christian. While reading his bible, he looked over to me and asked "Have you found Christ?" my response to him was "Found him, Lost him, and I'm not looking for him"
Throughout the flight he went on about how I needed to accept jesus as my personal Savior in order to be accepted into heaven.
I attempted to debate him on a philosophical and historical level but it wasn't going anywhere because he did not want to listen to my side of the issue.
After about an hour, I politely told him that I wanted to watch my movies and went to put on my headphones. His last words to me were "I'll pray for you". I said "Thank You, but I rather you not" and put on my headphones.
Personally, I never understood why some people have to get so pissed off when a christian attempts to preach to them.
