I strongly encourage you not to put anything in your body unless you're absolutely sure what it is. You shouldn't be taking "pain meds" (or any other prescription medication) without a prescription. I urge you to have more respect for the body you live in.

It sounds like you don't need a lecture since you already know what the lecture would be. There's only 2 ways to identify a pill beyond a doubt... one is by the markings on it (which this one lacks) and the other is by having it tested (which would be very expensive and not generally available to the general population). If you found it somewhere, there's not really a way to absolutely identify it, but you could bring it to your pharmacist to see if they can identify it (which is less likely if it's just a blue capsule with no markings or other identification, but you never know). However, since you already ingested half of the pill, the outcome doesn't matter much... you already know the effect you've gotten, you've already done whatever damage it would do to you, and you've only got half of the pill to get any other effects with. The only reason you would need to test it or check it would be if you expected to get more of them... but even if you did, you couldn't guarantee it was the same powder when they are put in blank pills (that could have been filled by anyone). I'm not judging or lecturing, just stating a fact. You're exactly right that the blank capsules like this have nothing to do with the 'stuff' inside of it. That's what makes testing pointless in home-made stuff and makes it virtually impossible to identify... you just have to trust the source of where you found it. Good luck and I hope I helped!
