Because the Bible tells us so! We are his children. we go back to the place we started as his spirit children! He sent us here to learn and grow and experience life to become more like him! He wants us to succeed. How ever he will one day say I'm tired of this - that's when Jesus returns for the second comeing. All who have fought against God and his rightious will be wiped off the face of the earth. That's an extra incentive to do the best we can to be on the right side of things, don't you think? Afterwards comes the millenium promised where the lion will lay down with the lamb!

Well, I believe with all my being that the Bible is the ultimate word on the subject, and it says that we ARE eternal beings. God created us to have fellowship with him. However, we have to first acknowledge him-- Accept Jesus as our personal saviour, otherwise our eternal life turns into eternal DEATH. That means HELL, brother, and you don't wanna go there.
God WILL one day bring the world to judgement, but his children, i.e., those who accept Jesus, will be in Heaven on that day.
And LOVE: Well, The Bible says this-" For GOD so loved the world, that he sent his only begotten (or earthborn) son. That whoever believes in Him, will NOT perish, but have ETERNAL life. If that ain't love, I don't know what is.

Answer to question 1 (...eternal life and whats out there) = we don't know, physically
Answer to question 2 (...wipe us all out) = don't know that either
Answer to question 3 (so is it really eternal and love) = if you loved someone and they were suffering and you knew that the only way to end their suffering was to let them die, would you stop loving them just because they died?

Well, I beleive that God is eternal and that we are all different aspects of him. When we die we go back to him. If he says "I'm tired of this," then he'll just go to sleep and wake up and find something else to do-- but we'll still be there with him since we are part of him.
Read the book "Conversations with God" by Neale Donald Walsch. It might answer some of your questions.

I like what Anne Rice says in Tale of the Body Thief...
The scene is with the vampire Lestat talking with an elderly, dying mortal friend... Lestat is in dire need of some sort of answer "If he can die, is there something after?"
His friend says just as immortal Lestat is a tiny piece of a larger demon, so are mortals a tiny piece of something larger.
Who knows if it is God. God might just be a name and a fancy story. But whatever it is it is there...
The human mind can't bear the thought of nothing...

This is a deep question. The main reason is FAITH. God is a loving God. He's proved this over and over again. How could someone like HIM just wipe us all out?
The Bible tells me so.

Good questions - for one - God sent His only Son to die for us - if He planned on wiping us out - do you really think He would have sacrificed His Son?

God is the greatest father in the universe. Look at just great human fathers, do you think they would ever abandon their children? Heck no, and God is the greatest father to ever exist, why would he ever stop loving us?
