In my mind events taking place in the world today give evidence that the scriptures are not false. You ask why will the things written in the bible come to pass in the future, it is because the these things will make the world ready for Jesus to return and reign for 1000 years in peace. People who don’t believe in God and the scriptures will for the most part not believe it is God that is in control and will contribute these proceedings to be manmade or forces of nature not having to do with God.

The Bible is as accurate at foretelling the future as Nostradamus - totally inaccurate, until after events happen then people see phrases in the Bible that seem to fit. Will religious people finally stop believing in the Bible after these events come and go AND still the world does not end?

Ok...if it is REALLY as old as people think, do you realize how long it has had for things written in it to happen? There are A LOT of humans in the world, and plenty enough to make a lot of what is in it happen, and just as many people to decide how something FITS as a "prophecy." Most of it is just people deciding something can fit as a particular part...

What prophecies?
Why do you believe a book written about things that didn't happen in the past, and think that what it says about the future is true?
Mathew 16:28
Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.
"There be some standing here...."
Jesus mistakenly tells his followers that he will return and establish his kingdom within their lifetime.

It's a story that was based loosely off of historical events. History repeats itself. God didn't write it, man did. Some ancient loser journalist who took boring events spiced them up a bit and filled in fiction where he wasn't sure what went on. It definitely was a man who wrote it, or else "God" would have been portrayed as a woman.

Check out Bart Ehrman, Ph.D, M.Div. from Princeton Theological Seminary. A best-selling author, New Testament expert, fundamentalist scholar who peered so hard into the origins of Christianity that he lost his faith altogether!

the reason everything is coming true is b/c God wrote it all and it is happening b/c God would NEVER lie to his children. if he says something is gonna happen, it'll happen!
