I don't know if I have a ONE favorite (yeah, American) food. But, for meat I would say CHICKEN. For fruit, a firm pear or any berry (strawberry, blueberry, raspberry etc.). For vegetable: aspargus, firm red fresh tomatoes, avocadoes, and broccoli. Bread--OH there is this bakery close to where I live that makes fresh bread that is to die for. I wish I could offer you a taste so you could appreciate it.
I make this dish in the crock-pot that I absolutely love; chicken breasts all day on low in water and chicken bouillon or chicken broth. Then an hour before serving add a flour water mixture to thicken it, then 10 minutes before serving either add sour cream or soften cream cheese. Then serve the chicken and gravy over rice. Then with a side of aspargus. OMG! It is so delicious.
