Why is it continued to be thought anyone who does anything to hold anyone accountable that is a set back to anyone in the country illegally that's it's always America's fault and everybody is a racist or else the illegal wouldn't be in any trouble and wouldn't be getting deported and green cards would be issued upon demand and on the spot is how some of these people think it should work. I wonder just how much money do any of these people who want the illegals here , actually send to any of the charities in Mexico and what are they doing to help make the country better place instead of always laying the blame on America and expecting America to shoulder the burden of problems the country of Mexico it's self created them because it's a lousy country. Why aren't the pop stars, movie stars people with any kinda of stradom in Mexico doing any kind benefits like Willie Nelson does with farm aide why aren't they holding any "Poverty Aide Benefits".

We can not help the world--it is impossible-we can not help all those in Mexico -it is impossible.

We can help ourselves better than we do. We need a recovery period. And that is not wrong of us to do.

I think it will help if they demonstrate in their own country. Or for help to what we need here to cover the cost of what it is costing us. Since that many can get together-while don't they work on those problems? Work to take the burdens off of us.

I take it your question is why do some people support and want to help people who are here illegally from Mexico and other countries, and want to change immigration policy?

There are many reasons,

Some people think we ought to have policies that are good for everyone and not just US Citizens, In other words they have sympathy for people from Mexico who come here to earn a living so they can support their families better than they can in Mexico
where it is much harder to earn a decent living

They put themselves in the position of those people and say how would I want to be treated if I were in their position. They think that everyone should have a right to have the benefits of coming to the US to work and live just as their parents or granparents or great grandparents who immigrated to the US did.

Others think that it is best for the US to change its immigration policy, and that so long as we make it difficult or impossible for people from Mexico to come here legally to work in jobs that exist here then they will come illegally. and it is better for everyone that people who come to work here come legally. (They point out the only time we didn't have a problem with large numbers of illegal immigrants, was when it was possible to go back and forth easily and legally accross the border to work). They believe the only way to eliminate illegal border crossings, is to make it legal for people to go back and forth across the border to find work and the current policy makes things worse by making it difficult or impossible for people who come here to work, to go back to Mexico because if they do they risk getting caught when they try to come back to the US. So instead of having lots of temporary workers who go back and forth we end up with permenent illegal residents.

Others think the economy of the US depends on and is better and will be better by having workers from Mexico. That the econo,ic benefits outweigh the costs. (I think the general feeling among economists is that the benefits are at least equal to the cost).

Most of these reasons have to do with what people think is best for the US-- not Mexico.

Beats me. I've always wondered why the Mexicans never tried to do something with their own country. Guess its just too easy to get to the US and have us take care of them.

Same question, but replace 'Mexico' with Iraq. I thought the point was to find weapons, and then later the point changed to taking down Saddam, and then again to establishing a new gov't... wtf.
