I think absence does make the heart grow fonder, I am far from my gf and it drives me crazy, she is always out of sight but never out of my mind.

Hmmm...I dont beleive in the "time out period" thing. I understand how time apart can make the heart grow fonder...as long as the time apart is filled with love letters, phone calls, and care packages. Then when it come time to go home, the meeting between you and your friend surely will be full of passion ;-)

When my husband was in Iraq for a year we missed each other dearly and it made us love each other more than we ever could have possibly loved each other. Also I guess that feeling that you will never see each other again plays a big part in that. We were only married for a week before he left and we had only known each other about a month all together before we got married. We're still married and been married for a year and 6 months.
