Uncanny (without looking in the dictionary) sort of means unthinkable, unbelievable, etc. "How could he have done that? It's uncanny." I can't imagine how he did it.

If you are talking to someone and they are very knowledgeable about topics and very interesting. . .giving facts that you just don't know how they could have obtained them: that is uncanny. Also, if it seems like someone knows something about you or something that is private or they say something that you were just about to say (exactly): that would be a situation you would say "That is uncanny!"
