He may just have a wonderful imagination. I do believe in spirits coming to us, so that may be it, but since he is laughing, it must only be people who love him and are playing with him. Nothing to worry about, but it does make you wonder.

I had a friend who's child had an "invisible" friend. She held converstations with this "friend" all the time. She was 5 at the time. The mother had an overwhelming feeling she(the mother) was going to die real soon. A couple days later she was driving home with all her children in the car and a drunk driver hit her. The mother and her oldest son were killed. But the little girl and her younger brother came out of it with only cuts and bruises. To this day, I believe that "friend" was her gaurdian angel.. So no, I dont think its weird, and yes I do believe they can see people from the "other side".

I'm a mother of two boys, 21 and 16 (all right, I still call them boys, although I have to look up when I talk to them). Anyway, while my older son was the only child (five years), when he was playing in his room (alone), and you heard all the sounds coming from there, you'd thought that he had at least one or two friends with him. Children have imagination that enables them to ride on the clouds. Personally, I'd be worried if my child sits still i keeps quiet all the time.

I think it is very possible your little one can be talking to some on the other side. I believe little ones are sweet spirits of Heavenly Father and are still very close to him. My older brother was born with a heart defect and couldnt go and run and play with the other kids. He would sit and talk to someone and laugh and play, even in his baby bed. I totally believe he had someone there talking to him, keeping him company since he couldn't play with the other kids.

he could be laughing at nothing just having fun. but i know that when my cousin's little girl was two she did that all the time, and would suddenly stop crying when she would look a certain way and would start laughing. my cousin said it freaked her out all the time, but that one night she thought she caught a glimpse of something that looked like an angel hovering at the side of the bed. i believe that little children like that can see angels, just as animals are sensitive to that type of things. i don't think that you should worry unless he starts to show signs that it is affecting him in a bad way. maybe it's his guardian angel. i know i've seen mine when i was younger too(about 12). leave it in God's hands. he knows what he's doing. good luck

Wow this is a good question. I thought I was the only one who thought that children can still see what we as adults have been too bombarded with info to see. I am a skeptic of everything, but know enough to know I don't know. I have seen it in animals and my child. They Are looking at something, not an imaginary friend(too young for that). I don't know but maybe they can see things we can't. I don't believe much but I do believe my eyes most of the time. I think they do see things we have forgotten how to... maybe. :)

My 2 yr old daughter will laugh for no reason as well. She isn't laughing at anything, just likes to make the laughing sound.

My son used to do this sitting in his high chair when I was trying to feed him. He'd look past me and laugh and then look back at me. I finally just turned around, said out loud to "whoever" that he needed to eat and they could play later, and went back to feeding him. Not sure who/what it was, but the problem went away.

My daughter laughs & talks to herself, too. She's also 2 years old. I think it's totally normal. Maybe it's an imaginary friend. :)

You should ask him, If he doesnt give you an answer than you should contact your doctor and tell him....but i highly doubt that he does talk to people on the other side because that chance is probably 1 in 100,000
