The airline can not confirm whether or not the person is on the flight. However an agent can legally say if the person does have a reservation, but can not confirm they are on a flight. Most agents will not release any information OR even say if the person has a reseravation.
People who really dont have the flight information but are meeting someone really hate that response. They think we are implying they are terrorists, but it is for situations like this that we can not divuldge passenger details. The agent cant volunteer the flight info, but if they ask for specifics giving flight numbers or a confirmation number, again, we can only say if there is a reservation.

Well, it depends on what the caller says on the phone...He might pretend to be her husband, calling to confirm the return flight. The airline should not give the information about reservations, but on the phone you never know, as an agent, who you're talking to, and you don't have time to ask everyone about their identity and their relations to the person in question...
What you may do, is call the airline and tell them to introduce a message in the reservation, to give no information on the reservation, except if it's your friend, by asking her for example the ticket number.

I highly doubt the airline will be able to tell anyone, due to privacy laws
the best thing would be to contact the airline, and just make sure they dont go giving out information , just tell them , that she is getting away from someone.

Unfortunately, NO we may not give any information out regarding other peoples' reservations other than yourself of course. If you do have the confirmation number and address details, it may help you out to access that personal information.

specific I as quickly as sat next to this female on a flight from Philly to San Fran (6 hour flight)...nicely hear became the situation A - she became in 2 seats through fact she became nicely over 250 lbs. B - she sweated very truly so she smelled undesirable and each and all of the A/C's have been on (very chilly) C - she had to tell me her life tale (became no longer exciting) D - she became a smoker - she fidgeted plenty and smelled badly of cigarettes. I coped by putting on my ipod and smelling my sweatshirt and fortuitously i became the window seat so i became in the direction of the window and smelled out as much as i ought to. i had to poke her through fact (and im no longer asserting this to be advise im no longer a sprig by an prolonged shot) yet i had to poke her and notice if she could deflate she appeared like a balloon. i could no longer ***** through fact it became an entire flight, yet i did secretly spray fragrance round her and me.
