Seriously, there have been many times I swear I could actually feel arms that I could not see holding me up through difficult times. If you wish to call me crazy have fun as that doesnt' bother me. I just wonder if anyone else out there ever feels their Fathers love in such a manner.

Glad to see I am not alone. If you have ever truly felt His presence then you would never doubt His existence.

Yes. For me, it was peace and joy that had me caught between crying and laughing. I did not care about anything else. Only His love mattered.

You are on the right path but don't stop there... When you've gotten a confirmation from God that you can go on, don't stop there! When you get properly baptized, don't stop there! When you've been surrounded by the Holy Spirit, don't stop there! When you pray for the sick and feel their pain within your own body, don't stop there. When you've spent years with visions, don't stop there! When God has shown you things that you can't feel, and let you feel things you can't see - don't stop there! When it all comes to a hault - don't loose site of the direction that you have been set on and don't stop there. At that point, your faith has gotten you further most of those around you - now reach your arms out and help to guide those that are searching for the same faith, a rapturing faith.

It is like having a hands-on lab to go along with the textbook and "classroom theories." Truly seeing the spiritual world while still in the flesh is a wonderful thing that scholars spend all their lives to try to understand through the texts - reaching beyond any denominational beliefs. It is as real as you sitting there reading this right now. To KNOW that all things that we see were created by something "we" can not see. To share much of your life with that creator - you will never wonder if God exists again!

Definitely.... i also get that feeling when I'm deep in worship closing my eyes singing and have watery eyes. I also get that way when i look at the stars or clouds. I'll share one time because i have nothing else to do. I was at church camp and this particular camp invited a local christian worship band to come and play a concert for us. this was an optional thing so not many kids went...which was sad but anyway me my older brother and two other people that i had become close with over the week (one was my brother's friend) were sitting there in a little group and i remember just closing my eyes and singing my heart out all to God, i know he was there. Then after i walked back to the cabins just gazing at the stars it felt like God was like you said wrapping his arms around me. It was the most amazing experience of my life. This was 2 weeks ago and I'm still in awe.

Well, I feel the presence of God all the time, and sometimes in powerful episodes.
However, it is not real, unfortunately. But it DOES feel nice.

Atheist all the way!

(The reason that I do not think they are real is not part of my atheism by the way, just part of my experience with dealing with delusion/hallucination (in the actual sense))

:)

I know what it feels like, but don't worry, you don't sound crazy to me. (though I do know what it feels like I think we are getting our experiences from different sources)

Intense meditation can trigger high activity in the temporal lobe leading to euphoria and the feeling of presences nearby. It is a well-documented psycho-physiological phenomena.

Yeah he is cool, he is always there no matter what watching. I mean he gave up his life for us before any of us were born and he is still by our sides.
